AdventNet Adds Web Services Monitoring
Upgrades ManageEngine Applications Manager to monitor performance
and availability of Service Oriented Architecture
Pleasanton, California, Nov. 07, 2006
AdventNet announced an important update to ManageEngine Applications
Manager, an application management software that helps Business
managers and application support to cost effectively monitor their
business applications. This updates focus is on helping enterprises
monitor their applications that use Service Oriented Architectures.
ManageEngine Applications Manager provides a flexible approach
to manage SOA that uses SOAP Web Services. It helps Business managers
to configure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure that business
objectives are met.
SOA introduces concepts of modular software with loose and
dynamic coupling with multiple moving parts to be managed in an
application with unpredictability during its execution. SOA can
therefore increase the number of components a transaction has to
traverse before completion, leading to unpredictable performance
and availability. Thus enterprises need to take a life cycle approach
to managing SOA applications to reduce the increase in unplanned
downtime of SOA based applications Said Milind Govekar, Research
VP IT Operations Management Service, Gartner.
The application is working well, looks good. The entire
requirement that we set was handled perfectly. The continuous development
of the tool is visible. We are very happy to be able to use ManageEngine
Applications Manager Said Zoltan Toke, Process Development
Manager, Nokia. Usually all the problems what we had were
solved by their support.
With more and more customers embracing Service Oriented
Architecture, we felt a compelling need to provide out-of-the-box
support for SOAP Web Services, said Gibu K. Mathew, Product
Manager at AdventNet. This will help our customers ensure
real-time performance and availability of their mission critical
web services and view any trends towards degrading performance.
ManageEngine Applications Manager provides Agentless monitoring
solution that can help provide in-depth monitoring of J2EE Application
Servers and Web Applications, Microsoft Applications and synthetic
web transactions along with performance monitoring and fault management
capability.
Applications Manager provides a Free Edition, which can manage
five applications, a Professional Edition, which helps enterprises
cost-effectively manage their business applications and an Enterprise
Edition supports a distributed architecture for monitoring large
server farms.
