ManageEngine Applications Manager Integrates Support for JBoss 4 and IBM DB2 Monitoring

Pleasanton, California, May 11, 2005

AdventNet Inc., the leading provider of affordable network and systems management software for enterprises, equipment vendors and service providers, today announced an update for its web applications management software, ManageEngine Applications Manager; the new update provides support for JBoss 4 Monitoring and IBM DB2 Monitoring.

Applications Manager is an affordable web application management solution that provides integrated application, server and systems monitoring. It provides in depth monitoring of Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat), databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2), custom Java, JMX, J2EE applications and web sites with fault management and notification capabilities.

"Applications Manager was considered for evaluation because it is very cost-effective when compared to some of the other monitoring systems on the market,” said Frank Downs, Database Architect, Parliament (South Africa). "Furthermore, we had the freedom to run it on either the Windows or the Linux platform. I also liked the fact that the trial version did not expire as this gave me the freedom to run a full test over an extended period of time. During our intensive testing period, the support team was very responsive and helpful. We were very satisfied by its monitoring capabilities and we promptly bought the tool."

"Applications Manager provides an easy to use console for customers to manage their entire IT infrastructure including applications, servers and systems in an integrated fashion. It helps them to gain complete visibility into application and server problems and take control of the business infrastructure without spending tens of thousands of dollars," said Hyther Nizam, Product Manager at AdventNet. "With in-depth support for IBM DB2 and JBoss 4, Applications Manager has strengthened its feature set against competition but remains very affordably priced."

Applications Manager is available in three editions - a Free Edition, which can manage ten applications, a Professional Edition, which helps small and medium sized businesses cost-effectively manage their IT applications and starts at $995. An enterprise edition with Unlimited Users Pack is available for $9995, it helps large enterprises to manage their diverse and complex applications, servers and systems with no extra license cost for additional applications.
