public class PropertySettings

extends javax.swing.JButton

implements java.awt.event.ActionListener

This bean is used for setting the properties of other beans. Currently the properties of the beans can be set during design time in the property editor form and it is not possible to change them during run time. If we build our applet or application with this bean, we can change most of the properties during run time.

When you click on the PropertySettings bean it displays a dialog containing all the properties. Once we click the AddUser\ok button in the dialog it forwards notifications to registered listeners. One or more listeners can register for the PropertySettings bean data by additing it to the VetoableChangeListener. The PropertySettings bean fires a VetoableChangeEvent once the AddUser\ok button is clicked. The listeners that have registered with the PropertySettings will get events with an instance of the SettingsDialog which contains all the required inputs.

One more advantage of using this bean is, while building applets in SNMPv3, values for fields like password need not be specified in the html file. To use in an application, instantiate the PropertySettings, and register to receive results. For example,

    PropertySettings pass = new PropertySettings();

	  TableBean table = new TableBean();
    
	  pass.addVetoableChangeListener(table);
