A simple agent that provides multi-management protocol support, using SNMP, TL1, RMI, CORBA, HTTP, and HTML to access the management information of any application, can be built through Agent Toolkit. The generated multi-protocol agents are compatible across all JMX implementations. The key feature of multi-protocol agents is "Instrument Once, Access Through Any Protocol". This is enabled by using the rich set of protocol adaptors provided by the Agent Toolkit.
