SNMPv3 Admin Tool

The SNMPv3 Admin Tool is an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) for User, Group, Access, and View management of SNMPv3 agents as described in RFC 3414 (USM) and RFC 3415 (VACM).

The SNMPv3 Management Framework provides security and administration through USM and VACM. The USM utilizes MD5 and the Secure Hash Algorithm as keyed hashing algorithms. VACM enables you to define group, access and view for the user to access the management information.

Though there are MIBs suitable for remotely monitoring and managing the configuration parameters of USM and VACM, it becomes difficult due to complexity in these security models.

SNMPv3 Admin tool provides easy and user-friendly GUI to configure security and administration details of USM and VACM. Also, the user need not know the basic SNMPv3 framework to work with the admin tool.

Performing USM-related operations at runtime.

Rows can be added/deleted/modified in UsmUser table dynamically according to the RFC 3414 standard.

End-to-end ability to add USM and VACM configurations

While adding new user in USM table, corresponding VACM tables-related entries can be added at one go instead of adding them seperately.
