The following image shows the architecture of AdventNet SNMP Micro Agent for MySQL. The agent gathers and exposes all the information of the MySQL server, such as MySQL databases, tables, performance details, queries, users, logs, etc. through Web consoles and various SNMP managers, such as ManageEngine Applications Manager, HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, CA Unicenter, etc. In addition, the rule engine component of the agent helps in emitting notifications to the managers whenever a critical situation is encountered in the server. Apart from the preconfigured rules, the administrators can configure their own set of rules for sending alerts to the managers using the agent.
