This section discusses the global variables that can be configured from the 'Admin' tab of any testing type tool. Topics covered here include:
A proxy configuration is required only if your web performance testing urls or web service are behind a proxy. Proxy settings can be configured globally from the 'Admin' tab of any test type, ie. web performance testing, web functional testing, web service functional testing or web service performance testing. These can be configured for both HTTP and HTTPs urls.
To configure the proxy details,
Click Proxy Configuration link on the left-side panel of the 'Admin' tab.
Enter the proxy host name.
Enter the proxy port number.
Enter the username to authenticate and connect to the proxy server.
Enter the password to authenticate and connect to the proxy server.
If any host does not require proxy, enter it in the 'Bypass Proxy For' field.
Click Apply to complete the configuration.
Mail server settings screen displays the mail server configuration details:
In the Mail Server Configuration screen, enter the mail server name and mail server port.
Check the Use Authentication Details check box and enter the User Name and Password.
Click Apply button to apply the changes.
In this section, you can enable or disable other testing tools. All the 4 testing types - Web Functional, Web Performance, Web Services Functional and Web Services Performance are listed here. Select or de-select the necessary checkboxes and click Save to complete the changes.
