Session Handling

QEngine simplifies the creation of run-time test data generation through an easy-to-use Parameterization UI. The values of session IDs and request parameters can be calculated in a number of ways to generate a realistic load on the server(s).

Run-time Test Data Generation (Sessions/Cookies/URL Parameters)

• Real-time session tracking to performance test web application that include:
  • Session data stored as a client-side cookie
  • Unique session ID appended to the URL
  • Unique session ID present in a hidden field.
• To capture real-world user testing, input data (Get/Post data or Session data) can be fetched from any of the following source:
  • Character Strings
  • Cookie set in the response header
  • Element attribute in hidden field
  • Previous response
  • By executing Javascript's
  • Previous URL
  • Variable (which includes the value from any of the previous response)
  • External data source (FLAT file or Database).
• Ability to parameterize the popular MIME types.
• Input data that can be parameterized at runtime include:
  • Session IDs
  • Authorization
  • URL Parameters
  • Form Fields
  • username/password pairs
  • Any Header Field
