User Simulation

performance testing user simulation

QEngine provides flexible user scenarios and realistic workload types to map the real time user activities and simulate thousands of concurrent users under dynamic load conditions that forms the crux of performance testing.

Flexible User Scenarios

  • Flexibility to split the number of users accessing different parts of the web application performing different operations.
  • No.of.iterations parameter helps you to keep the virtual user alive even if they complete the transaction within the sample duration.
  • Option to change the server host (test server) to run the same user scenario (recorded URL's) against different test servers without re-recording the test scripts.
  • Bandwidth simulation to emulate the different connection speeds with which the user connects to your web site.

Real-world Load Simulation

  • Group individual user scenarios as user profiles and associate each user profile with different workload configuration to capture real-life user testing.
  • Load Test (Normal Workload) allows you to measure the capability of your web site under anticipated production workload.
  • Peak Test (Ramp-up and Ramp-down Workload) helps you to compare and determine how well your web site responds at peak hours of the system and when it goes back to an idle state.
  • Burn-In Test (Burn-in Workload) enables you to identify issues in your web site when a heavy load is hit for an extended period of time. You can exit the test only based on the specified exit criteria.
  • Mixed Load Test allows you to add a combination of workloads to emulate the real-world load behavior.
  • Workload pattern graph helps you to visualize how the load is generated against the server before running the load test. This helps you to tweak the workload configurations to perform the desired performance test.
