TL1 Device Configurations

The TL1 Agent Simulator provides an intuitive UI to simulate TL1 manageable devices. It takes the TCS file as input and creates default values for all the command code and the Autonomous code in the loaded file. The TL1 Agent Simulator also supports to simulate delayed response, error response, acknowledgment for specific responses, and configure echo requests. The use of Jython-based scripting enables simulation of real time behavior of devices.

Unique Features

  • Simulation of default values on loading the required TCS file in the simulator.
  • Customize and control all TL1 command responses from the UI or at runtime using behavior scripts or through RMI.
  • Simulation of multiple Access ID and Message Payload blocks for a specific command code.
  • Simulation of alarm messages with varied combinations of textblocks and severity for a single autonomous code.
  • Simulation of random variations in response time for TL1 commands, acknowledgment responses and also configure to occasionally send error responses instead of a correct response.
  • Resimulation of agent values.
